Russian Tea Mix, 15.75oz package, makes 15-20 cups of hot tea.A traditional Christmas tea and winter spiced tea favorite at our house. Using my grandmother's recipe, you can enjoy a hot cup of citrus spice tea anytime. It also makes a wonderful nostalgic hostess or party gift. BASIC DIRECTIONS: Mix 2 tablespoons of spice tea mix with one cup of hot water, stir and enjoy! Adjust to individual taste. Water may be substituted with apple juice, apple cider or cranberry juice and heated for a warm fruity citrus hot beverage. Why is it called Russian Tea?This warm citrus, spice tea blend is truly a southern favorite, particularly around the holidays. Traditionally, referred to as Russian Tea when in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, upper-class Russians would drink black tea with lemon and sugar, before becoming a Southern holiday staple. We often serve guests, a cup of Russian Tea with with homemade cookies and baked goods, especially during the holidays. Delicious as a mulled apple or red wine cider, too. Mix it with your favorite bourbon for a evening hot toddy. Regardless of how you choose to partake, It's sure to become an instant holiday drink favorite.
